Santa Cruz has an amazing dance community that trains wonderfully skilled dancers, but too often, local performance artists must move away to find opportunities to dance professionally, tour with a cast, and inspire the larger community. Fusion Dance Company was created to change that. By donating, you are helping to build a new industry in Santa Cruz County—one where dancers and choreographers can thrive locally and share their voices as artists.
Your support will go directly to the general operation of Fusion Dance Company. In order to truly support our artists, we must be able to pay them for their time and hard work. Along with labor, there are costs for insurance, LLC certification, rent for rehearsal and performance spaces, costumes for our dancers, hiring lighting and sound equipment/crew, and marketing. Once we have a full-length show polished and ready to present to the public, we’ll host public "flash-mob" events to engage the community and build excitement. We also hope to invite donors to special fundraisers and pre-opening events for our full show.
After our first company is presented locally, the next step is to tour! Donations will help cover travel expenses and rental of performance spaces outside the county, expanding opportunities for our artists.
